Monthly Meeting

The Arizona Chapter meets at 7:30 PM the second Thursday of every month. A typical meeting may include a speaker (either a guest or a club specialist). We also have other activities in which members share fruit and fruit produce, seeds, home propagated plants, and personal experience and expertise in budding and grafting. There may also be a club plant auction. There are occasional field trips and an annual national convention.

All meetings are held at - Cooperative Extension Building - Palo Verde Room - 4341 E. Broadway Road, Phoenix, Arizona

June 12th, 2008 Eric C Elsherry from www.arizonavanilla.com will be talking about the history of Vanilla and Cultivation and curing vanilla.
Monthly Club Plant Auction!
July 10th, 2008 Mr Mike Wallace, an Arizona State Plant Services Pest and Disease Survey and Detection Manager will be speaking about on current insects we should be on the lookout for. These insects include the Asian Psylid, a known carrier of Citrus Greening, and a new insect threat to the Prickly Pear Cactus. Monthly Club Plant Auction!
August 14th, 2008 Jim Stack, environment activist will speak about solar energy system that can be built into gardens.
